After a shaky game against "lowly" Kuwait, where Team Pilipinas narrowly escaped with a 76-69 victory, the realization came. It came in the form of the Iranian National Team.
Iran took the fight out of Team Pilipinas as early as the end of the 1st half, totally dominating from then on, en route to a 65-48 victory. This is the teams first loss in the main round.
Although this is just our first loss, it is quite obvious that we are not there yet. It is a sad truth that we must all accept at this point. But at the same time, they need to pull at least three victories in order to move to the next round, without a hitch.
They will play Qatar next, followed by Japan, India, and Chinese Taipei.
